The appliances sold by CocoaTown have been thoroughly tested against their specifications.  Each unit sold and shipped outside USA is individually tested prior to shipping.

 The units are insured against any shipping damage if the shipping arrangement was made by CocoaTown.com.  Any shipping damage will be covered by the shipping courier. 

 It is not practical to provide warranty repair service from Continental USA for the units shipped outside Continental USA.  If the unit arrived with no shipping damage but had Defect On Arrival (DOA), we will provide procedures to troubleshoot to identify the problem and will ship the replacement part.  Customers will have to get the defective parts replaced locally by a qualified / certified repair person.  The DOA has to be reported to CocoaTown.com within 2 working days after the unit is delivered.  For those units that need service after the warranty period, CocoaTown.com will supply the parts at a very reasonable cost.

We at Cocoatown are constantly improving the Grindeurs and melangers based on the feedback from our customers. We take all the efforts to update our website often. But still the actual unit you receive might look different than the one in the picture. Be assured that the functionality will be on par or better than the description in the website.

When ordering mention the voltage needed in the comments section. We supply units with 110V / 220V single phase motor and 220V / 440V three phase motor as needed by the customer. ECGC -65 comes with 2 HP three phase motor and all the other units come with single phase motor.

Option 1 is to bring in three phase line to the building. But this is an expensive option.

The best option is to buy the control panel from cocoatown.com. Control panel comes with frequency controller that converts the incoming single phase electricity into three phase for the motor. Control panel also comes with additional features to make chocolate grinding easy and programmable.

Cheapest option is to buy the frequency controller only and connect the ECGC-65 through it. Frequency controller has two functions - 
1. convert the incoming single phase power to three phase power to the motor. 
2. help you to change the speed of the unit for different stages of the grinding process.

If the tension adjustor knob is screwed in more, it will press the roller stones too hard against the bottom stone of the grinding vessel. This causes the stones to hit against the roller stone shaft, wearing out the bottom side of the roller stone shaft.

The tension adjustor is provided to completely release the tension on the roller stones during the conching process. If the delrin wears out, release the tension by unscrewing the tension adjustor. As a rule of thumb, the tension adjustor bolt should not be more than 20 - 22 mm below the tension bracket. We are working on the indicator to prevent overtightening of the roller stone assembly. We have three different kinds of control panels.

220V single phase control panel: If your facility is located in USA, Canada or other countries where 110V is the common electricity, most probably,there will be 220V, single phase power in commercial buildings.  If you do not want to spend money to run three phase line, single phase control panel is the correct choice. Single phase control panel comes with frequency controller that converts the incoming single phase electricity into three phase electricity for the motor.

220V three phase control panel: If your facility has three phase electricity, this is the right option. The control panel uses three phase electricity for input and gives three phase output.

440V three phase control panel: If your facility has 440V three phase electricity, this is the right option. If your facility has 380V electricity, please mention it in the order form and we will send you the correct frequency controller.

The melanger / Grindeur have roller stones system has been designed with spring loaded compression mechanism to provide more crusing power with light weight roller stones.  The drive motor is is also optimally designed to handle typical running conditions.  If the nibs or nut powders are added first, prior to starig the machine, it will create more stress to the motor and driver system and may stall the roller stones from rotating. This in turn will damage the belt, motor etc. and reduce the life of the melanger / Grindeur.  So please follow the instructions carefully while starting the machine.
